Our Mission

The mission of the Shiner Catholic School is to foster spiritual, physical and mental growth in our students in the building of the Kingdom and our fidelity to God's call. Thus our students will be able to spread the Good News to all people whose lives they touch each day.

The Shiner Catholic School community believes that a relationship with God is central to its purpose for being. With respect to this philosophy, the school fosters development of Christian moral values including, courage, integrity, self-discipline, a respect for the dignity of life and service to others.

In curriculum and other areas of decision-making, the focus of the Shiner Catholic School is on the growth of the students' spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical abilities. The school educates students to become competent citizens who accept the responsibilities and privileges of a democratic society and appreciate the various cultural traditions in their communities and in the world.

Shiner Catholic School is a unique community in which students, teachers and staff can experience the presence of the Holy Spirit and proclaim the Gospel message. The school remains faithful to its Catholic heritage while respecting the diversity of other religious traditions.
