We have many fundraisers to help out our school. We start the School year off with our Parish Labor Day picnic. The 1st weekend in September. Then in October we have our Home and School Association Sponsor our annual Fall Festival.
This is usually the 1st Sunday in October, where everyone can come and play games and win prizes and enjoy our delicious BBQ chicken and rice dinner, followed by our auction. This is a major fund-raiser for our school to help our teachers fulfill their wish list.
The last weekend in January we have Catholic Schools Week. We start off on Sunday, with the Home and School Association sponsoring a pancake breakfast with sausage. The parents, grandparents, and family friends are encouraged to go to our Open House to see their child/children's work. At the end of the week our Parish sponsors a Chicken Noodle Soup Dinner along with getting to watch the different grades participate in our Variety Show.
In late March or early April our Home and School Association sponsors an Easter Bake Sale on Good Friday. We close the school year with the Shiner Catholic School sponsoring our Marathon. This is where we get our students involved in asking others for donations to sponsor them while they walk, bike ride, or roller blade in Green Dickson park.
Our gracious Knights of Columbus sponsor a BBQ luncheon in the park while everyone else is seeing how far they can walk. This is a very fun and relaxing day for all of our students, staff, and family members to enjoy. Also in May, our Parish sponsors a Memorial Day picnic. This is a great way to spend your Sunday visiting with old friends and have some great food and a great auction.
