The first full day of classes for students of the Shiner Catholic School (St. Ludmila Elementary/St. Paul High) will begin Monday, August 20. School days begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 3:30 p.m. for grades K-12.
Pre-Kindergarten for 3 & 4 year olds also begins Monday, August 20. PK4 students have the option of eating lunch in the cafeteria. Parents may pick up their four year olds between 11:50 and 12:05. Four year olds may also register for afternoon care from lunchtime until 3:15 or 5:30 p.m.
Shiner Catholic School will admit students of any race, creed or ethnic origin.
Lunch prices are: $1.50 for grades Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd, $1.75 for grades 3 through 6, and $2.25 for grades 7 through 12; and $2.75 for adults. Extra milk and juice will be 25ยข. Free and reduced lunch applications may be picked up from the school offices the first week of school. Any questions regarding this should be directed to the principal.
The Shiner Catholic School will use the facilities of radio stations KHLT (1520 AM or 99.9 & 92.5 FM) Hallettsville; KCTI (1450 AM) Gonzales; and television station KAVU (Channel 25) Victoria, to inform parents of the cancellation of a school day or any change in the school day hours in the event of severe weather. Announcements will be made through the facilities of these radio and TV stations before 7:30 a.m. for the cancellation of a school day or a change in the starting time and before 1:30 p.m. in the case of an early dismissal.
